Amanda surprised me with my graduation gift today, and look out world; I’m a new man. For almost four years we’ve been eyeing the fine craftsmanship of Seattle’s Utilikilts, dreaming of the day, wondering when I should take the plunge, plunk down the cash, drop trow, and kilt up. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that day has come. Today, I am a kilted man. In celebration of this development, and my impending graduation, please allow me to quote from some of my newly inherited Utilikilt propaganda:
DYNAMIC!
With good humor, entangled in paradox, Utilikilts – the uniform of the free-thinking – are inextricably woven into the threads of the future. This future is all of ours, and open minds are essential while navigating this course. Utilikilts embody change: change to the system, change to the culture, change to the way we think and act. Change is always tumultuous: ask any child, it ain’t easy. Be who and what you want – Utilikilts ensure that you are met with minimal preconceptions.
